“Don’t Wait Too Long” Lyrics

Lyrics to song number 3!

Don’t Wait Too Long
David Zach

Everything is quiet, you’re outside the sound
you’ve buried your talent in the ground
tired of always standing still, waiting around
you feel so lost just want to be found

Everything is lonely, you’re outside the song
you wait and another year is gone
yet another sun goes down but it’s still wrong
you want to make it right and not wait too long

yeah – don’t wait too long

Can you see the fire it burns behind the skies
it’s not enough to exist or just survive
can you see the fire inside the children’s eyes
they’re waiting for you to come alive

Everyone is waking up but the blinds are drawn
you can’t recall what you’re running from
open up the shutters, come on embrace the dawn
the race is on so don’t wait too long

“Hold On” Lyrics

Here are the lyrics to song number two on the Light Makes A Way EP! Enjoy! 🙂

Hold On
David Zach and Jon Howard

lately I’ve been thinking
this feels more like lost than found
the sand around me is sinking
thought I stood on solid ground
when what I have put my hope
seems to have let me down
when all my dreams escape me
without a sound

when everything is broken – everything is gone
when there’s nothing left to hold onto
You give me something better – more than just a feeling
You give me something real to hold on to

I keep lifting empty buckets out from empty wells
expecting something different
in the midst of this dry spell
but I know there’s more to put my hope in
it will never let me down
and I know there’s living water to be found

“Light Makes A Way” Lyrics

Hey, Everyone! Sorry for not posting on Friday! It’s been a busy week for most of us! Hope you’re all enjoying the Light Makes A Way EP! We finally have some of the lyrics for you! Here are the lyrics to the title track, “Light Makes A Way” – enjoy!

Light Makes a Way
David Zach and Steve Wilson

when the world is a weight on your heart
if you’re stalled and you’re waiting to start
when the color’s bleeding out
not sure what it’s all about
when everything is falling apart

chorus:
when the darkness falls like rain and you’re stuck in a fear that you can’t explain
when you can’t take anymore – light makes a way for you
when your stars get lost in the sky and you can’t find your way and
you don’t know why
you’re not sure what you’re looking for – light makes a way for you

how did this fear get to be so strong?
how did this road get to be so long?
there’s more behind these skies
can’t see with just your eyes
and it can carry you on

Gina’s Concert Experience

I was so excited to meet Dave, Corey and Timmy for the first time! I had heard a lot of good things about them and couldn’t wait to see how they meshed with David on the stage. I met the guys at AGAPE fest in IL, which was about an 8 hour drive from Alabama. Unfortunately, it had been overcast all day and looked like it would rain. When the guys started playing “Light Makes A Way”, the clouds parted and the sun started shining on them. It was pretty awesome and I like to think, a God thing. ☺ They were awesome during their performance and rocking all over the place, as usual.

Later that night, I was finally able to meet Dave, Corey and Timmy in person. They were extremely nice and easy to talk to; It felt like I had known them a long time. You can tell they truly love what they are doing and very happy and thankful to be there. They far exceeded my expectations. ☺

If you get a chance, please be sure to catch one of Remedy Drive’s shows. You will not regret it. And make sure to say hi to the guys after the show. They love interacting with their fans and are very appreciative of each and every one of us!

Happy Birthday!

Kelsey’s Concert Experience

February 5, 2011.

I will never forget this day. I had mixed emotions of excitement, sadness, and anxiety. Today would be the day I would meet the three new members of Remedy Drive, a band I have come to love over the past four years. How would today go? Would they like me? Would I like them? So many questions and thoughts were running rampant in my mind as I was making the two hour journey to Tyler, Texas for the concert.

I almost didn’t even make it to the show. For one thing, it never EVER snows in Texas. And this week, it decided to snow every single day; school was cancelled all week. I left college two days early to beat the snow storm, and Remedy Drive left a day earlier as well. I just remember hoping and praying the snow would clear so we could all make it safely!

Those prayers were answered, and I thank God that they were. I got to spend a day and a half with Corey, Timmy, and Dave. They are so enthusiastic and passionate about being in this band, and it is great to see them share David’s passion of music and performing. While it was odd not to see Philip, Paul, and Dan on stage, times change. Remedy Drive is evolving, and I think David has picked the best people to surround himself with and to go on this new journey of music with.

Whether it was listening to sound check, eating frozen yogurt in the 40 degree weather, or the acoustic set played at church Sunday morning, the weekend of February 5 exceeded all of my expectations.

I urge everyone to check to see if Remedy Drive is coming to your area soon. Even if they aren’t, plan a roadtrip! The guys love to meet their fans, and it means a great deal to them when people drive a long ways. And make sure to say hi to them after the show!

And just remember, the guys are not replacing Dan, Philip, or Paul. They are new members bringing new and different qualities to Remedy Drive, making Remedy Drive what they are today 🙂

NVM: Drum Makeover

Have you ever seen anyone change both drumheads this fast? Yeah, that’s what we thought. We have come to the conclusion that Timmy is pretty much amazing.

Breanna’s Concert Experience

The last week in March/first week in April was a very exciting time for me. Remedy Drive was in the Midwest (my area) quite a few times and I saw them 5 times in 8 days. It was pretty exhausting traveling all over to see these guys, but it was well worth it. Knowing there were new guys in the band, I didn’t know what to expect.

The first night I saw them I was a bit worried. After over five years of following the band, it was weird to think that only David would be there out of the four brothers. My dad and I made the trek from Sioux Falls, SD to Wayne, NE and arrived shortly before the doors opened. We were some of the first people there, which is not unusual for me; I like to be in the front row. David saw my dad and I standing up by the stage and came to talk to us for a little bit. I had seen the other guys around and didn’t quite know what to think. I was excited for everything, but at the same time, sad that the brothers weren’t there.

The concert started after a while and the guys were using fog machines which ended up setting the fire alarms off and getting the firemen of Wayne, NE called to the venue to air out the auditorium. It was quite the experience. While all of this was happening, Remedy Drive just kept on playing. The new guys weren’t jumping off anything like Philip had previously done, but they definitely put on a good show and were fun to watch. Timmy is a crazy drummer. And by crazy, I mean amazing. And the other guys are also so talented at what they do.

It was also really exciting to hear the songs that were going to be on their EP Light Makes A Way. When the concert ended and the guys left the stage, no one really started yelling “One More Song!” so I took it upon myself to yell for an encore. Thankfully, others joined in and the guys came out once more! 🙂

After they played their encore, the guys came out to talk to the fans. At this point, I was a bit anxious to meet the new guys and I wondered if they knew I was the girl who had been to 52 (soon to be 57) shows. I usually wait around until the crowd clears out a bit before talking to the guys, and this time wasn’t any different. After a while, Dave ended up coming up to me first. David had actually told the guys before the show that I was there and Dave said he figured it was me in the front row singing all the songs.  I was so much more calm after meeting him and then the other guys came up as well and all of them were so much more incredible than I could have ever imagined. They are such easy guys to talk to and I really enjoyed getting to know them throughout the week. There were many fun times that occurred at these five concerts and I know that no one will be disappointed to meet these guys. They are all so talented at what they do and very personable with the fans.

Seriously, if any of you find out they are in concert near you, it’s so worth it, even if there’s a bit of a drive! 🙂
